Three artists from different backgrounds, languages and nationalities will perform in the "The Giordano Bruno Project", a cross-cultural artistic encounter between music, movement and philosophy.

The production is a collaboration between Jacopo Gianninoto, a guitarist, lutenist and composer from Italy and two performers from Bangkok-based physical theatre troupe B-Floor _ Nana Dakin, a half-Thai, half-American, theatre director and performer, and Sasapin Siriwanij, a Thai actress who has performed with B-Floor Theatre in Thailand and internationally.
Inspired by the life of Giordano Bruno, a 16th century Italian martyr, this performance features a unique blend of live music on a Renaissance lute, movement and multimedia.
Condemned as a heretic by the inquisition, and burned at the stake on the 17th of February, 1600, Bruno sacrificed his life for his visionary philosophy of the universe, God, science and human beings.
This cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary performance will take audiences on a journey through Bruno's search for truth and the violent suppression of ideas.
Music from the repertoire of G.M. da Crema, Francesco da Milano, S. Molinaro and G.C. Barbetta will be played on a Renaissance lute, mingling with movement and multimedia to reflect upon Bruno's story, on history, on the challenges of freethinking, and the nature of our existence. After the Bangkok performances, "The Giordano Bruno Project" will go to Padua, Italy, where it will be performed at the Bel Teatro theatre festival on July 25.
