The spirit of living Bangkok

Capturing the essence of a city is a photographer's dream, and these photos tell a vibrant story

Having received more than 500 submissions, the Bangkok Post's "My Bangkok" photo contest is now over.

Bangkok means something different to everyone who lives or has ever visited here. Each experience is unique and every one of the pictures submitted told its own individual story.

However, there could be only two winners in the end. In our first category, Jonathan Raho is the winner of the most "Liked" photo on Facebook with 4,571 "Likes" for his black-and-white photo of Hua Lamphong train station entitled "The Station".

The second winning photo was submitted by Adrian Callan and was chosen as our Editor's Pick for capturing an image of everyday life and the spirit of Bangkok in a single shot.

Congratulations to our winners, both of whom will receive an iPad mini. We would also like to extend our thanks to all of our readers who took part in the contest by submitting photographs and for "Liking" pictures on our Facebook page.
