Muang Thong confident against Urawa

SAITAMA : SCG Muang Thong United are optimistic they will emerge with a result today when they face Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds in the AFC Champions League.

Buriram United captain Suchao Nutnum addresses the media yesterday.

In their opening Group F games, the Thai Premier League champions were held to a 2-2 home draw by South Korea's Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors while the Japanese side lost 3-0 at China's Guangzhou Evergrande.

Muang Thong coach Slavisa Jokanovic told yesterday's press conference that Urawa are dangerous in attack but insisted his men are good enough to get a result.

"We can get a draw or even a win," Jokanovic said.

The Kirins are at full strength and will be led by captain Datsakorn Thonglao and striker Teerasil Dangda.

Urawa coach Mihailo Petrovic said: "It will be our first match on home soil and we must win after losing in the opening match."

Meanwhile, Thai FA Cup champions Buriram United today host South Korea's FC Seoul, while China's Jiangsu Sainty face Japan's Vegalta Sendai in Group E.

Buriram drew 1-1 at Sendai and FC Seoul secured a 5-1 home win against Jiangsu in their opening games.

Buriram coach Attapol Bussapakom said he was looking forward to a win against the K-League champions.

"We are not afraid of anyone when we play at home," he said. "Their forwards, No.10 [Dejan Damjanovic] and No.11 [Mauricio Molina], are very dangerous but we play as a team."

The Thunder Castle are at full strength with captain Suchao Nutnum, who has returned from injury, expected to start.

FC Seoul coach Choi Yong-Soo was equally confident.

"We are the visiting team so we will have a difficult task," he said.

"This will be a good test for us and we come here to win."
