Janie is every woman

Her convincing portrayal of twin sisters with contrasting personalities in last year's mega-hit Raeng Ngao further strengthened Janie Tienphosuwan's reputation as one of the country's hottest actresses, who's fulfilling a new role as Pantene's brand ambassador.

After appearing in the TV commercial, the brand ambassador took to the catwalk to show her lustrous locks in P&G's spring/summer 2013 hair show presented at the launch of Pantene products last week at the Siam Kempinski Hotel.

In blazing burgundy, Janie's long tresses flowed with a wavy cut that gave a sophisticated and romantic look. The reddish hair colour however came nearest to a subtle interpretation of Flaming Femme, one of the four hair colour trends identified by P&G from runway looks.

The other three trends were Perfect Poise, Jade Allure and Hyper Tropicality, all of which have been designed to suit Asian women.

Representing femininity and tenderness, Perfect Poise delivers an understated charm of nude tones scattered with darker colours, apricot and black, whereas Jade Allure is based on the colours of precious gemstones _ violet of amethyst, yellow of topaz and green of emerald _ for luxurious hair looks.

Bolder hues of fuchsia, turquoise and deep purple combine for Hyper Tropicality to make a harmonious hot hair statement. Even hotter and sexier is the Flaming Femme, who dons a dramatic hairdo in electrifying red and orange, interrupted with highlights in ashy grey.

To get these spring/summer looks, hair has to undergo colouring and perming that may not last long, requiring a redo, with the multiple chemical treatments causing hair damage.

Prolonging the colour and curls while nourishing hair were challenges in developing Pantene Pro-V Color & Perm Lasting Care system of shampoo, conditioner, mask and a treatment used immediately after colouring or perming.
