Advertising is often about selling glitz, glamour or gadgets, but it was a heart-rending campaign against child abuse which caught the attention at the three-day Adfest 2013 event in Pattaya.
Winner of the Gold Lotus in the press category: Leo Burnett Bangkok and its series of campaign posters against child abuse for the Centre for the Protection of Children’s Rights Foundation.
Thai contender Leo Burnett Bangkok's entry took out the Gold Lotus award in the press category for its posters for the Centre for the Protection of Children's Rights Foundation.
Illusion Co. Ltd. Bangkok bagged three gold trophies in the computer-generated imagery category. The companies led the charge for Bangkok, which claimed 35 awards, while agencies from Tokyo took home 41 awards.
Held at Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (Peach), Royal Cliff Hotels Group in Pattaya, Adfest 2013 attracted more than 1,000 delegates from 56 countries, representing the best in the advertising business from Asia and the Pacific. The 16th edition of the annual fest featured well-known speakers giving exclusive sessions. The prestigious Lotus Awards attracted 3,507 entries across 17 categories, and these were on display. Agency of the Year for 2013 went to Taproot India, Mumbai, while Leo Burnett was named Network Agency of the Year.
