AIRPORT

How is the Airports of Thailand Plc (AOT) attempting to improve Suvarnabhumi's image on an international level?

A)By actually nabbing smugglers/terrorists/paedophiles before they get into the country.

B)By changing the airport's name to something that's easier to pronounce.

C)By offering entertainment for passengers while they're stuck in long queues.

D)By upgrading its toilets with the concept of "Seven Wonders of Thailand". The supposed "grandiose" renovations will be applied to seven toilets in Suvarnabhumi with decor that reflects the themes of River of Life, Festival, Move Around, Happy Moment, Street Life, Flower Market and Sea Sight. AOT director Wilaiwan Nadwilai told the Bangkok Post that "impressive and scenic experiences" are important for passengers and "Seven Wonders of toilets will improve the country's image." The 347-million-baht renovations will be completed by July, at which point Thais will probably flock to the airport to take photos with the new bathrooms.

SCHOOL

Why did a school in southern France report a three-year-old male student to local authorities?

A)Because he demanded a paintbrush when it was time for finger-painting.

B)Because he ran around telling all the other kids that Santa isn't real.

C)Because he always tried to cuddle with someone during naptime.

D)Because he wore a T-shirt to school with the words "I am a bomb" printed on the front, and "Jihad, born September 11" on the back. To clarify, the kid's name is actually Jihad and he was born on September 11. As for the bomb reference, it's apparently a play on a popular French saying "Je suis la bombe", meaning "I am the best". However school officials didn't see it that way and Jihad's mother has been summoned to court, defending that she thought the shirt might "make people laugh". The prosecution argues, "They've used and manipulated a three-year-old child to voluntarily convey the words of a terrorist." The case will be decided on April 10, and any guilty verdict will be met with a fine.

BOOK

What unique book did Japanese printing company Toppan recently publish?

A)One where all the pages are made from seaweed.

B)A book written entirely in palindromes.

C)An origami-style paperback that can be folded and used as chopsticks.

D)The world's smallest book. The 22-page Shiki no Kusabana (Flowers of Seasons), is about the size of a needle tip, with each page measuring 0.75 millimetres. The miniature almanac features pictures and names of Japanese flowers, with letters about 0.01mm wide. The book is being sold with a magnifying glass and a larger copy for 29,400 yen (B9,044).
