Singha Corporation hosted the "Ferrari Challenge Party" at Renaissance Hotel's R Bar to celebrate its entry into the arena of world-class racing and thank its VIP customers. Flying in for the event was Enrico Galliera, commercial and marketing senior vice-president of Ferrari SpA.

The purpose of the event, other than to party, was to announce Singha's official sponsorship of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli 2013, a deal that puts the Singha logo on over 90 race cars competing in all three series of the challenge, which takes place around the world. The first of its kind for a Thai brand, the deal not only raises the profile of the Singha brand among participating drivers and fans of this prestigious championship event, but also allows Singha to fly the Thai flag in the international arena.

For the uninitiated, Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli 2013 is one of the most popular single-make motorsport championships in the world. The tournament, held in 21 circuits in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific, has a two-tiered format as experienced and novice drivers vie for the top honours in their respective classes. The Trofeo Pirelli (Pirelli Trophy) is awarded to the winning seasoned professional driver and the Coppa Shell (Shell Cup) is awarded to the dominant amateur.

This sponsorship deal between Singha and Ferrari also means that the two brands have a number of joint activities lined up for the future.

Guests at the exclusive event were treated to an up-close view of the Ferrari 458 Challenge _ the featured car in the races _ available in Thailand for 35 million baht.

Other highlights of the party included a racing-themed fashion show, live performances by vocal artists from The Voice Thailand and a mini concert by R&B goddess Sarunrat Visutthithada _ better known as "Lydia", and Burin Boonvisut and the Old School All Stars, plus live action managed overseen by professional DJs.
