Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra's "lucky licence plates" have once again drawn the attention of gamblers, with large crowds gathering to see the registration numbers on her three new cars, hoping to win the lottery by playing their numbers.
The mobile cabinet meetings held on Sunday in three provinces - Chachoengsao, Prachin Buri and Sa Kaeo - suddenly became the talk of the town after the media reported that Ms Yingluck was using three new vehicles.
Many people gathered on the roadside in each province and waited for hours to get a glimpse of the cars Ms Yingluck was travelling in.

All the three cars were used for the meeting. According to reports, Prime Minister Yingluck travelled in cars with the licence numbers 6594 in Chachoengsao, 4934 in Prachin Buri and 555 in Sa Kaeo.
Underground bookies were reported to have refused to take lottery bets on the numbers of some vehicles associated with the prime minister.
An underground gambling source said the numbers were 4324, which matches the licence plate of her official van, and 2904, a number on the helicopter fuselage which flew Ms Yingluck during the mobile cabinet trip.
They are worried the numbers might have too high a chance of making a payout.
The bookies became wary of accepting bets on numbers related to the premier's transport after several of her previous vehicles' licence plates matched winning numbers of the national lottery in the past, leading to large payouts.
People in the know said demand for these numbers was heavy on the underground lottery.
People have been posting forums on the internet hoping to buy genuine lottery tickets for 500 baht to700 baht, from the normal price of 100-110 baht, from people who were able to buy them before the illegal bookies imposed their bans.
While players of the official lottery have only the numbers on the tickets they buy, underground lottery punters choose which numbers they want to bet on - but sometimes the bookies refuse bets on popular numbers. The winning numbers are the same, taken from the official lottery draw.
