Yala deputy governor injured by bomb

Yala deputy governor Isra Thongthawat was injured, another peson killed and a third wounded, by a road bomb when travelling in Bannang Sata district on Friday, police said.

The bomb exploded about 12.20pm, when the vehicle was near Ban Kasot. The car was wrecked.

The explosion killed Chavait Chairuek, a disaster prevention and mitigation provincial official. The deputy governor and another occupant of the vehicle were injured
Yala governor Detcharaj Simsiri said the injured were taken to hospital.
The deputy governor was on his way from Yala city to Betong district when the attack occurred, on Road 410.
