Earthquake hits Myanmar

An earthquake measured at 5.1 on the Richter scale occurred this morning in Myanmar, centred about 31 kilometres northwest of Khun Yuam district of Mae Hong Son province.

Chanchai Srisathian, the Khun Yuam district chief, said the quake occurred at 5.05am and was felt in Thailand.

He has ordered tambon and village chiefs and all local administration organisations to see if there is any damage in Thailand and report to his office.
