Mild quakes hit Mae Hong Son

Two mild earthquakes measured at 2.1 and 2.7 on the Richter scale hit Mae Hong Son province early Wednesday morning, at 2.25am and 5.05am, Somboon Kositanont, chief of Zone 1 Mineral Resources office in Lampang said.

A mild quake with a magnitude of 2.3 was also recorded in Mae Hong Son yesterday.

The epicentre of the quakes was in Pai district.

Mr Somboon said the tremors were felt by villagers whose homes are situated between Pai township and Mo Paeng waterfall.
