Leading Swiss watch manufacturer Audemars Piguet and PMT The Hour Glass, retailer of specialist timepieces and Audemars Piguet's distributor in Thailand, recently unveiled the latest Audemars Piguet "Pride" limited edition - the Royal Oak Offshore chronograph "Pride of Siam", an auspicious timepiece specially created for Thailand.

The "Pride" limited edition is Audemars Piguet's tribute to the country's heritage, arts and tradition. The caseback of each "Pride" timepiece is engraved with an iconic symbol of the country. Previous Prides include the "Pride of Argentina", a tribute to the Bicentenary of Argentina bearing the engraving of the Cabildo de Bueno Aires; the "Pride of Russia", engraved with the Russian Imperial emblem of the two-headed crowned eagle, a symbol of national pride and unity; and the "Pride of China", featuring an engraving of the Great Wall, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
The all-white Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph "Pride of Siam" pays tribute to the Kingdom of Thailand, with an auspicious white elephant, which once adorned Siam's flag, engraved on the centre of the glare-proof sapphire crystal caseback, along with the words "Pride of Siam - Limited Edition". The 29.92mm case binding in steel and white ceramic for the first time houses a self-winding Calibre 3126/3840 movement with a power reserve of 55 hours. The watch comes with a hand-stitched "hornback" white crocodile strap with gold-colour stitching and stainless steel AP folding clasp. Only 100 pieces are available.

"Audemars Piguet also donated the Pride of Siam No.9 to the recent St. Regis charity gala auction which raised 2 million baht for HM Queen Sirikit's Support Foundation."

Audemars Piguet is the oldest fine watchmaking manufacturer still in the hands of its founding families (Audemars and Piguet). The manufacturer is based in the Vallee de Joux, at the heart of the Swiss Jura.
