Two army soldiers were killed when a motorcycle they were travelling on rammed into the rear of a truck parked by the roadside in Wang Thong district of Phitsanulok province early on Saturday, police said.
The accident occurred about 2am while the soldiers were returning to the Saritsena Upatham military camp in Wang Thong district. Their bike struck the truck that was parked at the side of the Phitsanulok-Lom Sak highway, said Pol Capt Preecha Phuphien, a duty officer at Wang Thong police station.
They were identified as Cpl Chokdee Intakham, 24, the driver, a native of Tak's Mae Sot district, and L/Cpl Jeerasak Thammat, 24, of Lamphun. Both were attached to the 4th Special Warfare Regiment.
