LG has entered the market of child-focused tablets with its Kids Pad, a tablet that can sustain drops and is made exclusively from non-toxic materials. The tablet runs on the Android operating system, has an app store specially supported with a cartridge that can be installed with apps, games and digital content designed for children. The Kids Pad also features a cartridge to learn English.

The tablet is designed for children aged from three to seven, has a 9-inch screen, a camera with a light sensor that automatically adjusts screen brightness and can play MP3 music files. The device is currently only available in South Korea.


The Xperia Z features a one-touch function which enables users to easily share music, photos and videos from their smartphone with an array of Near Field Communications-enabled Sony devices and even connect to the remote control of a Bravia television. It boasts a range of features including a 5-inch Full HD 1080p Reality Display, Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, the Mobile Bravia Engine 2 and a water-resistant 13-MP fast-capture camera.

The device shares capabilities with Sony digital cameras and features Exmor RS for mobile, the world's first image sensor with High Dynamic Range (HDR) video recording for smartphones.


The LG Pocket Photo Smart is a portable wireless printer that can fit in the palm of your hand, allow you to sync up to any Android or iOS device _ just download the accompanying LG app first _ and you can turn out 2x3-inch prints of your favourite moments. The app lets you make simple edits before printing and even generate QR codes that you can print out. The typical distance for NFC technology ranges from about 3-18mm. However, Bluetooth technology or even a USB cable can be used to transfer images.

The printer does not require an ink cartridge. You just load the printer with paper from ZINK (Zero Ink) Technology. The printer heats up dye crystals embedded inside the printing paper, which triggers colour changes according to that of the image. As the paper is heated up by the Pocket Photo printer, it activates pigments embedded within the paper.
