The public prosecutor has postponed for the third time the indictment of Red Bull heir Vorayuth Yoovidhya, who is accused of killing a police officer in a hit-and-run case last year.
Prosecutors said they were still waiting for a response from police on whether they would press an additional charge of speeding against the suspect.
Mr Vorayuth, 28, was initially charged with hit-and-run and drink-driving after he allegedly rammed his Ferrari into Pol Snr Sgt Maj Wichian Klanprasert's motorcycle in the early hours of Sept 3.
Police opted not to press drink-driving and speeding charges. However, lead prosecutor in the case, Ruecha Krairiksh, said police must charge Mr Vorayuth for speeding because he was caught on camera driving at 170kph. The prosecutor deferred the indictment until June 19.
