Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yubamrung said on Wednesday he will file his controversial draft reconciliation legislation with the office of the House of Representatives on May 23.

He said 149 MPs had signed to support the bill during yesterday's meeting of the Pheu Thai Party.
His private MP's bill would be submit to the House of Representatives office on May 23 so that it could be taken up for deliberation when the parliament resumes.
The House could then decide whether it would be deliberated in all three readings at the same time, Mr Chalerm said.
Mr Chalerm said Yasothon MP Pirapan Palusuk would act as coordinator in the House on his behalf, and he was ready to debate this matter in every forum.
He would not withdraw the bill, even if people come out to oppose it. He would go to Udon Thani province on May 24 to explain the bill to a meeting there.
Mr Chalerm did not directly reply to a question whether the bill, if passed, would enable former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra to return home. He said only that it would help all the people who had been affected by political conflict since 2006.
Mr Chalerm has long championed a blanket amnesty for all people facing "political charges" since 2006, when a coup ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and his caretaker government.
His opponents charge that his private member's bill is aimed primarily at allowing Thaksin, a convicted fugitive, to return to Thailand a free man.
