Actor and DJ Mike Kingpayom, 29, has been arrested for using crystal methamphetamine, or yaa ice, police said on Thursday.

He was pulled over by Thong Lor police on Wednesday night at a checkpoint in the Asok area and officers decided to conduct a urine test on him because he appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
The test was conducted at Klong Tan Hospital, Pol Lt Supakorn Thippila, an inspector at Thong Lor police station, said.
He said the actor eventually admitted that he used yaa ice.
Mr Mike was charged with drug use and driving under the influence of drugs and was transferred to the Bangkok South Criminal Court, the officer said.
His mother posted 20,000 baht cash as bail.
Mr Mike has acted in movies and several Thai soap operas. He is also a DJ at Met 107 radio station.
