Chaiwait Sinsuwong, a core member of the United Front of Thai Patriots, said his house in Hua Mark area was attacked with ping pong bombs on Sunday night and on Monday night.
He said that on Sunday night a ping pong bomb exploded in a trash can in front of his house.
On Monday night, a ping pong ball about the size of an egg was thrown at the house and it exploded. Nobody was hurt and no damage was done to the property, Mr Chaiwat said.
"The incidents happened about 11 o'clock on both nights.
"There were some servants staying in the house. I have not spent a night at the house for over three months because I have stayed mainly at Sanam Luang," said Mr Chaiwat, who is leading a demonstration calling on the the government to reject the International Court of Justice's jurisdiction over the Thai-Cambodian dispute regarding Preah Vihear temple.
He believed the ping pong bombs were only a political threat, and said he had not filed a complaint with police.
