Global affairs magazine Monocle opens its first pop-up shop in Thailand at the Sansiri Lounge, 3rd floor of Siam Paragon, from Wednesday until July 1.

Monocle’s debut Bangkok pop-up shop will appear in the Sansiri Lounge at Siam Paragon from Wednesday to July 1.

A partnership between the publication and Thai property developer Sansiri, the Monocle x Sansiri Lounge Pop-Up Shop will launch several new exclusive collaborations for the magazine, including the Castaner Espadrille, the Yves Andrieux Summer Tote, and the Discipline Wooden Cup.

The July-August double issue of Monocle and a selection of exclusive posters designed in-house will also be on sale, as will signed issues of the first edition of Monocle.

Tyler Brule, Monocle's editor-in-chief, will visit Bangkok to open the first Monocle shop in Thailand, following similar initiatives in Italy, Spain, Sweden, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Belgium, Singapore, Indonesia and Turkey.

"Our in-house design team has collaborated with Sansiri to create a handsome retail display, reflecting the design of the Monocle brand and providing a great space to showcase some of our bestselling products," says Brule. "We look forward to opening our first seasonal shop in Thailand with Sansiri, and meeting our local subscribers, readers, contributors clients and friends."

Renowned for breaking traditional media models, Monocle has created a retail channel with shops in London, Hong Kong, Toronto, Tokyo and New York _ along with an e-commerce site.

The shops sell a mix of limited-edition collaborations with brands such as Comme des Garcons, Barena, and Drakes, plus Monocle's own stationery range.

In 2011, Monocle opened its first cafe in the Hankyu Men's department store in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. The Monocle Cafe London joined Tokyo in April this year.
