Young teen stabbed in Ratchaburi

A ninth grader was stabbed with a knife by a younger student during a fight at a school in Ratchaburi province on Monday, police said.

The attacker, 13, testified that he recently moved to the school and was often bullied by the victim, 15. 

On Saturday, he argued with the ninth grader over the Facebook website regarding seniority, the 13-year-old said. He and his friends later confronted the victim and his group on Monday. 

The younger student said as he was losing the fight, he took out a knife and stabbed the 15-year-old.

The victim was taken to Ratchaburi Hospital. The teen is recovering after the blade was surgically removed.

Police have informed the assailant’s parents of the incident. The teenager was taken into custody and charged with assault with a knife, said Pol Lt Poosanisa Chantarat, an officer of Ratchaburi police station.
