LONDON - A new survey finds that 21 percent of British women say that they never feel sexy, and most young women feel sexier when getting dressed for a night out with the girls rather than for a date.

A new British survey finds that 21 percent of women say that they never feel sexy.

The survey of 1,000 women in the UK by online erotic boutique ohtique.com also found that more than 50 percent of respondents said that they lacked self-confidence to feel sexy, with 24 percent saying that they had no enthusiasm for sex whatsoever.

More than one-third said that they felt sexy when in bed with a partner, while 40 percent said that receiving compliments did the trick.

The survey further suggests that 16 percent of women said they want help to boost their sex drive, while just under a third said they would be willing to experiment with sex toys.

"We really do believe that sexual confidence is key to feeling sexy and positive in yourself as a whole," said Lexi Ashford, managing director and co-founder of ohtique. "'Fifty Shades of Grey' has really opened women's eyes to our sexual prowess and experimenting with sex toys in the bedroom, but the truth is most of us don't know where to start as there is just so much choice out there."

Other highlights from the survey include:

• 70 percent of women admitted that not feeling sexy impacts on their relationship

• 35 percent prefer to text when talking sexy to a partner

• 37 percent said they would like to be told they are sexy on a more regular basis
