The Amari Watergate Bangkok on Phetchaburi Road is holding the annual "Hong Kong Food Festival 2013" from July 5-21 at its famous Heichinrou Cantonese restaurant. The opening takes place today at 6pm.

Flown in from Hong Kong especially for this occasion are two master Chinese chefs _ Ng Tak Wah, with over 20 years of dim-sum experience, and Tse Fook Lun, an expert in barbecue delicacies. The two guest chefs will be joined by Heichinrou's own executive Chinese chef Yiu Chi Chow to present an exciting Cantonese cuisine menu, along with specialty dim sum, and Hong Kong-style barbecue dishes.

Among the delicacies to be featured in this year's feast are steamed-pork dumplings with sea scallops, roast Peking duck, barbecued crispy pork belly, barbecued suckling pig, stewed fish maw with dried shrimps and Chinese celery, braised sea scallops, and Australian beef with assorted mushrooms and more.

Not-to-miss dishes are an array of Hong Kong-style desserts including glutinous rice dumplings with fresh mango and coconut juice, black sesame dumplings with ginger tea, and chilled pineapple and medlar cake.
