India beat Sri Lanka in rain-shortened one-dayer

India defeated Sri Lanka by 81 runs in a rain-shortened sixth and final preliminary match of the Tri-Nation Series at Queen's Park Oval on Tuesday.

Set a revised target of 178 off 26 overs under the Duckworth-Lewis scoring method, after India had totalled 119 for three off 29 overs batting first, Sri Lanka were dismissed for 96 off 24.4 overs.

The two teams will meet sgain in the final on Thursday.
