Customs to auction seized luxury cars

A total of 289 seized cars will be auctioned, and probably sold way below market price, by the Customs Department on July 30.

The auction will be in the parking lot of the department’s headquarters in the Bangkok's Klong Toey district.

Several high-end Ferrari, Porsche, and Rolls-Royce cars will be on the block, along with other vehicles.

Participants will be required to register and submit bid deposits of 50,000 baht to customs officials, either on July 29 or the auction date.

The highest bidders will have to sign a car purchase contract on the spot.
