Judge transferred for hurling food

A female judge who threw a food box of fried egg and rice at a state vehicle of Metropolitan Police Bureau chief Kamronwit Toopkrachang will be moved to the Courts of Justice pending a probe into her actions.

Courts of Justice spokesman Sittisak Wanachakit said Chidchanok Paensuwan, attached to the Appeal Court, would be investigated for throwing the styrofoam food box at Pol Lt Gen Kamronwit's car on Friday.

Courts of Justice secretary Virat Chinwinitkul would send a letter to the Supreme Court chief justice, proposing Ms Chidchanok be moved from the Appeal Court to assist administrative work at the Courts of Justice pending the probe, Mr Sittisak said. He insisted Ms Chidchanok's action had nothing to do with her organisation.

Pol Col Sukhun Pornmayon, deputy chief of metropolitan police division 1, said the woman would face three charges _ raiding a government office, insulting officers and causing damage to state property. She will be asked to acknowledge the charges on Wednesday.

Pol Lt Col Jaruphat Thongkomol, deputy chief of Dusit police station, said police records showed Ms Chidchanok was involved in several matters before Bang Khen police, particularly parking her car so it obstructed other vehicles.

Bang Khen traffic police had towed her car, with Ms Chidchanok still sitting in it, to remove the obstruction.
