The chief of Sutthisan police station has been re-assigned to an inactive post at the Metropolitan Police Bureau after illegal drugs and slot machines were seized from a pub in the Ratchadapisek area under his command.
Pol Col Samroeng Suanthong's transfer, ordered by city police chief Lt Gen Khamronwit Thoopkrajang, takes effect immediately.
Pol Col Samroeng's transfer order is in place for 30 days pending an inquiry by the Metropolitan Police Division 2, which supervises Sutthisan police station.
His transfer comes in the wake of a raid on two pubs early Monday led by Deputy Interior Minister Wisarn Techathirawat.
Two teams of officers raided Safe House pub on Ekamai Road and Terminal by Pan pub on Ratchadapisek Road about 3am.
At Terminal by Pan pub, authorities allegedly found a haul of ketamine and hallucinogenic "magic" mushrooms.
The mushrooms were taped underneath several of the tables along with smoking equipment.
Three illegal slot machines were also seized from the pub.
Safe House pub was allegedly open beyond the permitted hours.
