B60m SEA Games help for Myanmar

The cabinet has approved the Sport Authority of Thailand's (SAT) plan to spend 60.5 million baht to help Myanmar organise the 2013 Southeast Asian Games, to be held in the administrative capital of Naypyidaw from Dec 11-22.

The budget will support the sending of trainers to Myanmar in 14 sports. Myanmar will also send its competitors  to Thailand for 30 days of training in six sports. Seven Thai sport associations will provide equipment worth 28.5 million baht, and assistance to provide fitness equipment worth 17.7 million baht. Thailand will also support IT equipment and management for Myanmar officials. 

The opening and closing ceremonies of the 2013 SEA Games will be held at Wunna Theikdi stadium.
