Prawase declines reform move role

Senior citizen Prawase Wasi said on Wednesday that he supports the move to reform politics but will not be a member of the planned political reform assembly, reports said.

The medical doctor was speaking after Deputy Prime Minister Pongthep Thepkanchana and PM’s Office Minister Varathep Ratanakorn had visited him at his residence, inviting him to join the political reform council.

Dr Prawase said he would rather stay behind the scenes as he is now very old and that actually he likes to work alone.

He believed that by working independently, he would be able to better help the political reform effort.

He also suggested the issue be listed on the national agenda.
