Japanese man drugged, robbed

A Japanese tourist was reportedly drugged, had his valuables stolen and was left at a bus stop in Pathum Thani province, police said on Sunday morning.

Pol Lt Col Paijit Koteglum, an inspector at Suan Prik Thai police station, said the Japanese man was identified as Yamamoto Kareshi.

The man was partially conscious, and only had a passport and a cell phone with him.

Pol Lt Col Paijit said a similar incident took place at the end of last year in Pathum Thani's Sam Khok district, where a foreign tourist was left unconscious at a bus stop and had his valuables stolen.
