A majority of people believe the ongoing move by the government to acheive political reform will certainly turn out to be a failure, according the result of Abac Poll published on Sunday.
The poll was conducted between Aug 26-31 on 2,103 people aged 18 and over in 17 provinces covering all regions.
Asked to comment on the government's move to achieve political reform, the majority or 80.8% of the respondents said it would be a failure, reasoning that it was an attempt to create a favourable image and to buy time without a serious aim of achieving a reform success. Only 9.2% believed it would be a success because the government was serious with it.
The majority, or 69.1% believed the government's political reform move was for its own interests, while 30.9% believed it was for the people of the whole country.
