A government committee will leave for the South on Friday to hold talks with rubber farmers, Deputy Prime Minister Pracha Promnok said on Thursday.
Pol Gen Pracha has been appointed chairman of the committee. The other members are Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Yukol Limlaemthong and PM's Office Minister Varathep Rattanakorn.
The committee will travel to the South on Friday to meet rubber farmers who are still protesting about low prices for their products and demanding a price guarantee well above the market level.
