The evening featured a concert by well-known singers, as well as a fashion show by celebrities in beautiful outfits by Tirapan.

Guests to the gala dinner were first invited to meander around the lobby area to view the flower installations created by various individuals and corporations. This provided a wonderful opportunity for photo taking against creative and colourful floral backgrounds.

The foyer in front of the ballroom was lined with paintings by well-known actors and actresses which had been donated for a charity auction. Throughout the flower show, visitors made their silent bids, which served as the jumping off point for the live auction during the dinner. The highlight among these was a large painting by HRH Prince Dhipankara Rasmijoti.

Just in front of the ballroom was a display of items that were also to be auctioned, including jewellery and a matoosh shawl.

As dinner was served, guests were entertained with a mini-concert by Prinya Sakiyalak who offered a credible rendition of Louis Armstrong's raspish voice, followed by Fonthip Watcharatrakul, Pimdao Panichsamai, Putthida Sirachaya and Teerapat Satjakul.

Emcees Akanit Wichiencharoen and Jareyadee Spencer then conducted the auction of the paintings and other donated items. The highest bid was of 1.1 million baht by Ausanee Mahagitsiri Leonio for the young prince's painting.

After that, there was a fashion show of beautiful cocktail gowns by veteran designer Tirapan _ there were more than 20 celebrity models including Ausanee Mahagitsiri Leonio accompanied by her two daughters and toddler son, and the hotel's own Naphaporn Bodiratnangkura.

A total of 3.5 million baht was raised for three charities: The Association for the Promotion of Education in Remote Areas under the Royal Patronage of the Princess Mother, The Foundation for the Welfare of the Mentally Retarded of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen, and the Fund for the Development of Children and Youth in Remote Areas under the Royal Patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
