Thailand will be one of 35 countries included in the second phase of the new iPhone rollout along with other countries across Europe and Asia. Grey-market versions of the two new iPhones have been available in Thailand since the went on sale in the first launch in the US.

According to Apple, the iPhone 5S comes in gold, silver or space grey for a suggested retail price of 23,900 baht for the 16GB model, 27,900 baht for the 32GB model and 31,900 baht for the 64GB model.

iPhone 5C comes in blue, green, pink, yellow and white for a recommended retail price of 19.900 baht for the 16GB model and 23,900 baht for the 32GB model. The iPhone 4S is still available for a suggested retail price of 14,900 baht.

In the US, people usually buy phones through a mobile company. They pay a smaller up-front price for the device, but are then locked into a standard, two-year contract, more expensive than most Thai companies charge. The cheapest 5C model costs $199 in up-front payment, but locks the buyer into a new wireless contract. (Story continues below this Verizon website promotion running in the US.)
