Labour Minister Chalerm Yubamrung has been discharged from Ramathibodi Hospital where he underwent a brain operation for treatment of subdural haematoma.
He left the hospital in the company of his son, Pol Capt Duang Yubamrung, about 4pm on Thursday.
Hospital director Surasak Leela-udomlipi said earlier that Mr Chalerm would go home in the evening, adding that the minister had recovered from the illness and was generally healthy.
Earlier on Thursday morning, a rumour spread rapidly that Mr Chalerm had died at about 9am of inflammation in the brain, prompting Pheu Thai spokesman Prompong Nopparit to swiftly deny it.
