Interior Minister Visarn Techathirawat will be asked to investigate Bangkok Governor MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra over his role in supporting the anti-government protesters at Uruphong intersection on Rama VI Road, the Pheu Thai Party spokesman said on Wednesday.
Prompong Nopparit said he would submit a letter to the interior minister tomorrow morning at parliament, asking him to check whether MR Sukhumbhand had committed malfeasance.
Mr Prompong accused the BMA of providing four generators to the protesters despite the fact that they breached the Land Traffic Act and the Cleaning and Orderliness of Public Spaces Act, meaning the Bangkok governor had acted beyond his duties.
The Pheu Thai spokesman said a video clip and photographs of the four generators bearing city hall logos would be handed to Mr Visarn along with the letter.
“I want to ask MR Sukhumbhand whether he would dare not to take any action, because the protest group has [political] connections or they are visited continuously by leading members of the Democrat Party,” Mr Prompong noted.
