The annual "National Ornamental Fish Day 2013" will once again see the shopping centre's MCC Hall transformed into a kingdom of amazing and colourful fish where 10 species and 62 breeds of them are entered into a national contest to vie for a trophy from HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn.

Among them are Siamese fighting fish, guppy, goldfish, crossbred climbing perch, pompadour, Metal King Cobra guppy (short body), Asian arowana, stingray, dwarf cichlid and crustaceans.

This is also a chance to have a glimpse of other rarely-seen creatures such as Oscar fish, red blood parrot cichlid, Siamese glassfish, giant day gecko, veiled chameleon, crayfish and red bee shrimp.

The nine-day event also features many other activities, including an aquascaping contest, talks on a variety of interesting topics, an exhibition on environmental and water preservation, an alligator show, a chance to bootlefeed goats, a fishing game and sales of fish and equipment.

Entry fee is 30 baht (free for students). Part of the proceeds will go to the Princess Pa Foundation. Call 02-310-1846.
