Whether you are a guitar pro, an amateur, an aficionado or simply a music lover, you're invited to the ''Hard Rock Pattaya Guitar Festival and Guitar Battle 2013'' on Nov 16.
Hosted for the first time by Hard Rock Pattaya, the festival will kick off at 10am for people to browse for guitars, amps, bass guitars, drums, and pedals from many well-known exhibitors. The store line-up includes Guitar Trick, Hongseng & Son Musical Instrument, Theera Music, Strings, Albion Amplification, Music Concept, Yamaha, NNG Custom Guitar, Audiotech Solution & Me Gears, Rock Planet and Yong Seng Musical. Or you may like to come and get pointers from professionals.
The afternoon will see the guitar battle where eight finalists will perform solo, starting at 1pm. They will be judged by Thailand's top guitarists and professional jurors Pop Woravit, Jack Thammarat and Olarn Promjai from The Olarn Project. The winner will be announced at 5.30pm. The trio will also take turns to give live solo performances starting at 6pm.
The guitar battle is open to anyone who is confident of their talent and playing skills. Applications can be made at www.facebook.com/hardrockhotelpattaya by Nov 5.
Prizes include 50,000 baht cash and an opportunity to feature in Guitar Siam magazine. The winner will also enjoy rock-star status and get the chance to jam live on stage with Pop Woravit and the resident band at Hard Rock Cafe Pattaya in the evening.
