The average salary of bachelor's degree holders who have no job experience is still lower than 15,000 baht a month, a survey has found.
The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Sripatum University conducted the survey involving the salaries and allowances offered by 210 business operators from 21 industries from last year to this year.
It found the average salary of bachelor's degree holders who have no job experience, the so-called "base salary", stands at 14,131 baht per month.
The government raised the minimum salary of civil servants holding bachelor's degrees to 15,000 baht a month on Jan 1.
The average base salaries of vocational certificate and high school vocational certificate holders stand at 9,477 baht and 10,475 baht, respectively, while those with master's degrees and doctoral degrees stand at 19,171 baht and 26,119 baht, respectively, the survey says.
