Protesters outside Channel 11

Protesters have arrived at government-run Channel 11 television station on Vibhavadi-Rangsit road, and are demanding fair reporting.

Led by former Democrat MP Thaworn Senneam, the protesters were met by a large number of people, most of them from the South, waiting for their arrival.

Barricades of razor wire were placed in front of the station, owned by the Public Relations Department.  About 100 police were deployed in the area to prevent any intrusion.

Mr Thaworn said the protesters want the television station to work for the people and present all-round information, instead of only siding with the government.

The protesters would remain in front of the station and wait for its representatives to come out to receive their message, Mr Thaworn said.
