Travellers told to leave early for airport

Air travellers are being advised to leave for Suvarnabhumi Airport four hours ahead of their flights on Monday when many anti-government groups will march to Government House for the "final battle" mass rally and Bangkok traffic is expected to worsen.

Commuters are also recommended to use the Airport Rail Link between Suvarnabhumi and Bangkok to avoid being caught in traffic jams, the airport announced on Sunday.

The airport has set up an "Airport Help Center" at CIP5 room on the 3rd floor of the terminal building to provide advice and assistance for passengers who will be affected by the political rallies. Passengers can contact the centre, which is open 24 hours a day, via 02 132 9999 or fax 02 132 9998.
