Organised by the Bangkok Asean Art and Culture Festival in collaboration with state and private organisations, the "Asean Nights: Asean Beyond Frontier" is aimed at promoting understanding among neighbouring countries under the concept of "Open & Share".

Starting at 4pm on each day, the outdoor festival will get everyone closer to the art and culture of several Asean countries through live performances. The programme includes Arab and Malay music by a Thai-Muslim band, Baby Arabia, and contemporary Myanmar music by students on Dec 13, Isan-style music by the Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band on Dec 14, and international and Asean mixed music by DJ Maft Sai on Dec 15.

Activity booths by several groups of Art and Cultural Networks and Asean expats will bring out more fun, while food and beverages will be served, and a selection of five Asean films will be screened from 6.30pm.

The line-up includes The Rainbow Troops (Indonesia) on Dec 13, Chanthaly (Laos) and Pee Mak Phra Khanong (Thailand) on Dec 14, and Golden Slumbers (France/Cambodia) and Tang Wong (Thailand) on Dec 15.
