PHITSANULOK - A calf whose mother refused to feed him was accepted by a dog with a litter of pups who has suckled him for the last four months.
Kongkian Pimkruasee, 51, said the four-month-old calf she calls Web has been nursed by the dog since birth after his mother rejected him, refusing to allow him to feed.
"I usually raise my cows on a hill behind my house, but I was afraid that Web would starve to death so I decided to bring him into my home.
"A pack of dogs greeted Web, who tried to get the dogs to give him milk. One of them did, a mother of four pups named Gee," she said.
She said Gee's milk is not enough to keep Web full now, so she has to also feed him with powdered milk solution.
The calf also has been sleeping with the dogs every night.
