The Centre for the Administration of Peace and Order (Capo) on Sunday banned vehicles carrying equipment that could be used to support the protest rallies or hinder security officers from entering parts of 14 roads in Bangkok.
The equipment includes such things as sand, cement, sandbags, bamboo and loudspeakers with amplifiier power of more than one kilowatt.
The ban is imposed on parts of 14 roads including:
1. Ratchasima
2. Phitsanulok
3. Uthong Nai
4. Likhit
5. Rama 5
6. Sukhothai
7. Ratchawithi
8. Ratchadamnoen Nok
9. Luk Luang
10. Phichai
11. Nakhon Sawan
12. Si Ayutthaya
13. Nakhon Pathom
14. Krung Kasem
People suspected of being likely to create a public disturbance or obstruct officers from performaning their duties are not allowed to enter seven other locations: Sala Daeng, Pathumwan, Ratchaprasong, Asoke, Victory Monument and vicinity, Lat Phrao and Ratchadamnoen Klang (from Khok Wua intersection to Jor Por Ror intersection on Ratchadamnoen Nok Avenue).
The ban is also being imposed around the Government Complex and the head offices of TOT Plc and CAT Telecom, Thaicom satellite station in Nonthaburi, Aeronautical Radio of Thailand and the Royal Thai Police Sports Club on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road.
