Major shopping complexes around Pathumwan and Ratchaprasong intersections were open as usual on Monday, even though anti-government protesters took over the area.

CentralWorld Plaza, Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery Center and Siam Center will close at 8pm, two hours earlier than usual, due to traffic problems.
MBK shopping centre, which is closest to the biggest of the protesters’ eight rally stages, will close at 10pm.
All operators said they will continue to assess the protest situation and will announce any changes in opening hours.
Reports said the crowd of protesters had spilled out of the normally busy Pathumwan to the nearby Ratchaprasong intersection.
