Protesters blocking Customs Dept

The anti-government protesters of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee on Tuesday morning surrounded the Customs Department in Khlong Toey district, NBT reported.

Earlier this morning, the protesters, led by Shinvorn Boonyakiat and Pichet Pattanchote, marched from Rama IV heading to Witthayu road, to Khlong Toey intersection and to the Customs Department.

It was reported that the protesters will surround the department and prevent officials from entering until 4pm.

Traffic police reported on Tuesday morning that roads are still closed to traffic at the seven main rally sites to shutdown Bangkok by the PDRC at the government complex on Chaeng Wattana road, Lat Phrao intersection, Victory Monument, Pathumwan intersection, Lumpini intersection, Asok intersection and Ratchaprasong intersection.

Ratchadamnoen road has been reopened to traffic after the PDRC dismantled its rally stage at the Democracy  Monument, police said.
