Ink drawings on paper by Indian artist Anjali Bansal Purkayastha.

Meaning "lines", "Lakeeren" is the first solo exhibition in Thailand by the marketer-turned-artist who is inspired by Indian folk and tribal art.

On show will be 32 art pieces that reflect the numerous folk art forms found in India. However, she added her own unique touch _ be it with the use of interesting materials like the bindi or with the treatment of paper using a stamping technique.

Her style combines a series of repetitive monochromatic patterns or lines within silhouettes that result in beautiful imagery. Her works draw the viewers in to take a closer look as her illustrations are brimming with intricate details and surprises.

Anjali's works have been sold and exhibited in Singapore, South Korea and India. Currently based in Seoul, she also conducts art workshops for adults.

Proceeds from sales of the paintings will support an education trust in India.
