Protesters blocking Exim, SME banks

Protesters of the Network of Students and People for Reform of Thailand (NSPRT) on Friday surrounded the head office of the Export and Import Bank (Exim Bank) on Phahon Yothin road in Phaya Thai district, reports said.

The protesters also blocked the gates of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank (SME Bank), which is opposite the Exim Bank.

They urged employees of the two banks to come out and join their anti-government protest.

An NSPRT leader said they were sealing off the two banks to prevent the employees serving the interests of the "Thaksin regime".
