A teenager was killed in a drive-by shooting in Muang district of Yala province on Wednesday night, reports said.
He was identified as Rusran Maming, 18, a resident of house No 20/5 in Ban Bannang Buyo of Muang district, according to the reports.
Witnesses told police that the shooting occurred about 11.30pm. They said Rusran was travelling along his village’s local road on a motorcycle when a gunman riding pillion on another motorbike fired three shots at him. The attackers then fled.
Rusran took three bullets in his neck and torso and was taken to Yala hospital. He was later pronounced dead.
Police were investigating.
