The Centre for Maintaining Peace and Order has warned 30 major private firms to stop providing support for the People's Democratic Reform Committee protesters, Department of Special Investigation (DSI) chief Tarit Pengdith said.
Mr Tarit, the CMPO secretary, said the warning was issued after they were found to have provided funds, vehicles and shelters for PDRC protesters. He said doing so violated the Criminal Code, the emergency decree and the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
The CMPO also warned some media outlets to stop presenting news deemed to be inciting unrest and mobilising an uprising against the government, he said.
Mr Tarit said the CMPO also resolved that its team of negotiators led by police chief Pol Gen Adul Saengsingkaew should negotiate with PDRC leaders and ask for the return of government offices which have been occupied.
Negotiations will be held from today until Friday. If there is no satisfactory result, the CMPO would implement its operational plan to retake all government offices by Feb 3, he said.
