PHUKET - A Swedish tourist died on Tuesday after slipping off a bar counter in Kathu district on Tuesday, police said.
Kathu police station reported that Roland Hasselberg died at Da and Daniel's Bar in Patong when his head hit the floor.
Hasselberg, 58, had been drinking alcohol before he got up onto the counter and slipped at 00.25am, police said.
The Swedish tourist had been staying at Karlsson Hotel in Patong in the resort province.
Phuket is a popular destination for Scandinavian tourists.
